Pan-o-ram-a

panorama is an unbroken view of an entire surrounding area

what if life could be viewed like a panorama? from beginning to end, linear, unbroken, uninterrupted, flat, detailed, interpretive, conclusive, and WHATEVER...
then we would sit home and not dare to try and discover the unknown world cos everything is known, then we wouldn't be adventurous cos we know what is coming, then we wouldn't need faith and hope cos we cannot hope for what we can see although its been said that seeing is believing [which is a lie], then we wouldn't dream cos the reality is right before us...
life is composed of the known panorama of the past and unknown ones of the future and the future makes it more exciting and adventurous cos we don't know what is coming. my Europe adventure has been awesome so far and more excitements ahead. check PHOTOS...and more PHOTOS

life is made of small things

I had fun in Koln, [Germany]; the city that do not sleep recently [check FOTOS]. The party vibes, the singing Germans for their bachelor fellow who was getting married the next day, the loudest "Imagine" song of John Lennon in the background while we were playing pool in a bar all reminded me of home, Katutura...the part of Windhoek city which also do not sleep.

before Koln, i had to go to Frankfurt Airport first, to say goodbye to my good friend Jen who was leaving for Namibia. We had a priceless chat before her flight took off. Frankfurt Airport seems to have become a symbol of good memories.

the weekend after Koln, i found myself in Zurich, the fashionable and most beautiful city of Switzerland. I couched with a friend's family. The open air party through out the weekend, the visit to the the three FIFA houses, the walks by the lake, the circus show, the museum, and the Frau Munster...were totally wicked [more FOTOS]. what is even more humbling and mind blowing is the email i got from my friend's mother. She took me to the museum and this is what she said afterwards...
"...thank you so much for your being with us and the wonderful gifts you sent to us. It was a gift having you in my house with all the interesting talks with you. You gave me a path to a new unknown country, Namibia! I would really like to see it. And i got like a Namibian son with you..."

tab-u-la ra-sa

tabula rasa is translated as clean slate. i have not been doing my personal blog cos i wasn't sure if i wanted to change my blog into a political blog...and then just before writing this i thought of pressing a delete button and send the two years writings into a recycle bin... how sometime we wish life to be like a clean slate. having a chance to start over again; be like a child, learn to speak languages, flabbergasted by the past, in Namibia, we say shocketed by the present [supposedly shocked] ...five months down the line i had a funeral of the last member of my family of seven. actually i am the last member. i was the last to leave the graveyard, deep in thoughts paying my last respect to my lovely sister. life did not have a meaning. it was much easier to die than to live. but then there were orphaned nieces and nephews. i thought they were all looking at me as their only father, uncle, older brother in whom they have found a unit of family. such is my recent past...

after the not-so-pleasant past, i moved to Switzerland. my new home away from home. i have settled in well and am pursuing my master in peace and conflict transformation at World Peace Academy [University of Basel]. it is hard to have all you have dreamed for and not share it with your loved one because you look around and they are no where to be found, wishing to call them yet there is no one at the other end of the phone. when i share this, almost nobody believe what i have gone through but i have learned not to care, just smile. so far, i have had the honor to meet highly esteemed people from all over the world and i continue to have great life. i am learning Swiss-German at a very slow pace. such is my recent present...check PHOTOS.

why care so much when i cant change the past? the future belongs to those who have its vision [unanimous]...im off to a BBQ with friends, uhuuu! [MORE PHOTOS]
